About Greenlight Surveys Ltd.
Greenlight Surveys Limited was established in 2014 to provide an independent and customised quality assurance service for clients in the fields of hydrography, remote sensing, marine geology and geophysics. The company has developed directly from experience gained through the Irish Government’s INFOMAR Seabed mapping programme, a joint venture managed by the Geological Survey of Ireland and the Marine Institute (www.infomar.ie). The INFOMAR programme is currently the largest civilian seabed mapping project in the world and its scope covers some 125,000 km2 of Ireland’s most commercially valuable inshore waters. Greenlight Surveys personnel have been extensively involved with activities associated with this internationally acclaimed project, since 2006. Invaluable expertise has arisen from this journey, across a multitude of platforms, sensors and operational systems. In March 2015 Greenlight Surveys agreed a three year fixed term contract with the Geological Survey of Ireland and INFOMAR, as a provider of professional services in Marine Geoscience. Additionally, the company has been contracted to provide specialist services to Commissioners of Irish Lights and Northern Ireland’s Agri-Food and Bioscience Institute and has received R&D funding from Enterprise Ireland, since its incorporation. |
